The European Commission continues its investigation of the ethanol industry
The European Commission has today announced that it intends to continue its investigation of the ethanol industry. The suspicions concern antitrust infringements within ethanol trading in the EU.
In October the European Commission carried out an unannounced inspection at Lantmännen Agroetanol in Norrköping, Sweden, concerning suspected antitrust infringements. The European Commission have now decided to open formal proceedings to continue its investigation of Lantmännen Agroetanol and Abengoa and Alcodis, two companies that were also inspected in October 2014. Lantmännen cooperates fully with the authority.
