The first sod for Lantmännen Unibake's new automated cold store in Örebro was taken by Lantmännen Unibake Sweden's Managing Director Jonas Lindell and Lantmännen Fastigheter's Managing Director Joachim Haas.

Lantmännen Unibake, in collaboration with Lantmännen Fastigheter, are investing SEK 300 million in a the construction of a new automated cold storage facility, enabling storage and processing of frozen bread products. The new cold storage is being built adjacent to the existing bakery in Örebro. The investment boosts Lantmännen Unibake's product flows and contributes to a more sustainable transportation network serving Swedish consumers.

The new and highly efficient automated facility comprises a 36.5 meter tall warehouse, a low-height warehouse section, a palletizing space, engine rooms and new logistics offices. Total building area ~ 7,400 square meters. Many partners and suppliers have been involved in the project's design, fire safety, and automation phases.

The investment also provides chances for future growth, and the investment plan supports a long-term vision for Lantmännen Unibake's bakery in Örebro, which currently employs around 200 people. Lantmännen Unibake Sweden employs around 400 people within the brands Korvbrödsbagarn, Bonjour and Hatting.

Unibake Sweden's Managing Director Jonas Lindell and Lantmännen Fastigheter's Managing Director Joachim Haas have now taken the first sod.

"I am glad and pleased that we are constructing in Örebro to support Lantmännen Unibake Sweden's continuing expansion."
