LandSkills Yorkshire and Humber has recruited Diane Ratcliffe as a Programme Officer to help the region’s farmers, foresters and growers improve the competitiveness of their business through skills and business development. Bringing nine years of experience with funding projects, Diane’s most recent position was as a business adviser with Business Link Yorkshire, where she helped 600 learners access a wide range of training and development initiatives. With new rules and regulations affecting broiler chicken producers, Lantra Sector Skills Council today (28 June) advised those in Yorkshire and Humber to act now and get funded training before it’s too late.28 June 2010 PR 1361 Under the new ‘broiler welfare directive’ training will be legally required for all staff working with poultry raised for meat.
