Congratulations to NBC on bringing needed attention to the topic of education through your Education Nation week. This is a subject I feel passionately about as founder and director of Lesson One, a non-profit dedicated to teaching skills such as self-control to help children survive and succeed in and out of school.  Our work has been commended by Bill Cosby, Marian Wright-Edelman of the Children's Defense Fund, and Dr. Alvin Poussiant of Harvard, among others.  This past Tuesday, we were astounded at the similarities between what President Obama said during his “Back to School”
