The Lindab AB Group, headquartered in Sweden, has acquired the business activities and assets of Butler's European operations. Butler is a leader in the marketing, design and production of building systems and components for non-residential structures. The acquisition is an important step in Lindab's strategy to become a leading supplier of building systems in Europe. Butler has been active in the European market since 1954. Sales and technical support activities are conducted through Butler's regional offices located in Scotland, Germany, Poland, Hungary and Romania. The company's primary manufacturing facilities are located in Hungary.
 
Butler will continue to design, fabricate and market high quality building systems through its authorized network of independent Butler Builders®. Butler buildings are used extensively in low-rise industrial, commercial, recreational, institutional and agricultural construction. For more that 30 years, the Butler MR-24 roof system has had a firmly established reputation for being the highest quality and efficient metal standing seam roof system available in the world.
 
"Our goal is to develop the opportunities brought about by the acquisition", says Hans G Berger, Managing Director of Lindab Butler Building Systems.  Butler will realize competitive benefits from Lindab's larger, more diversified buildings products business. We will focus on increasing market share, bringing more quality product options to our customers, and expanding the quality of our service.
