Lindab AB acquires Scandab AB
Scandab's sales in 1999 amounted to 65 MSEK and the number of employees was 25. The company, which is operating within the environmental sector, develops, markets, stocks and distributes products and systems to the industry. The company has no production. The acquisition strengthens Lindab's business area Ventilation as there is synergy advantages for the product range Transfer, both by increased volumes and by better distribution channels.
Lindab's IT program will give Scandab a modern tool for marketing and making more effective its system solutions for i.a. the production industry. Scandab will continue operating as a separate unit within the Lindab organisation but will be able to take advantage of the Lindab Group's large geographic coverage.
