Chilled beam awarded at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milano

Architect Moon, a chilled beam with integrated lighting by Lindab Group, has been awarded the prestigious Comfort & Design Award at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2004 in Milan. In its third edition, the Comfort & Design Award ceremony was held in parallel with the global exhibition for the heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing and bathroom sectors.

Architect Moon with lighting was selected among 35 competing nominations based on its careful design and excellent integration of different functions.

"We are especially proud to receive an award for our design in Italy, which is the home of industrial design," said Göran Hultmark, R&D manager at Lindab Climate AB in Sweden and the designer of the award-winning product. "We have focused resources on a design program during two years, resulting in our new Architect product line. The award is a great acknowledgement and is a testimonial that we are on the right track. We hope that architects, consultants and contractors alike will appreciate the opportunity to be able to select ventilation products, which fit easily into any indoor environment."

The award-winning product, Architect Moon with lighting, is a multi-functional ventilation, cooling and heating radiant and ceiling panel, which also incorporates lighting. Architect Moon can be hung from the ceiling as part of an indoor climate system in combination with a lighting source. It is suitable for indoor environments such as offices, hotels or public buildings.

The jury consisted of representatives from the faculty of Industrial Design and Technology of Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan; ADI - the Italian Association for Industrial Design (sponsors of the initiative); IIDD - Italian Institute for Design and Disability and ANGAISA.
