At the turn of the year 2002/2003 Kjell Åkesson will take up the office of Managing Director and CEO in Lindab. Kjell Åkesson, who presently holds the corresponding position in Bilia, succeeds Carl-Gustaf Sondén, who has been active in Lindab for 35 years. Carl-Gustaf Sondén will continue working for the company as partner and member of the board of directors.

 

Kjell Åkesson is engineer and has a degree in economics and he has many years' experience of industrial and international operations from i.a. Svedala, Johnson Pump and ASEA/ABB.

 

The change of management that will take place was already planned at the buy-out of Lindab from the stock exchange. Carl-Gustaf Sondén and deputy Managing Director Hans Schmidt-Hansen, who has chosen to leave the company on 30 September this year, have actively participated in the strategy work that has been carried out in the company during the last year. Both will remain in Lindab as members of the board and partners.
