The flesh eating fiends were enjoying a ‘taste’ of London as promotional for an event called ‘Zombie Riot’, available exclusively through social commerce experts LivingSocial.

As economic strains tighten shopper’s budgets and the risk of ‘zombie High Streets’ grow, LivingSocial is proof that social commerce is alive and kicking, with over 60 million members, and operations in more than 20 countries around the world, spanning six continents.

Managing Director of LivingSocial UK and Ireland, Peter Briffett, said: “People are becoming increasingly careful with how they spend their money.  We’re delighted to be able to offer our members a unique event that is exciting and affordable.

“The High Street is feeling the squeeze and businesses have to think of inventive alternatives to market their products to consumers – Managing Director of LivingSocial UK, Peter Briffett, said: "We are delighted to offer this unique event that is only available through our website.

“This is a fantastic example of how we can raise awareness of exciting, unusual activities that are available locally.  What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon than with friends, saving the world from a zombie invasion!”

Roy Fitter, Director of RAM Training, who will be hosting the ‘Zombie Riot’ event, said it was a ‘no-brainer’ for them to work with LivingSocial: “As the number of people shopping online continues to increase, we wanted to take full advantage of the online potential for a business like ours.

“LivingSocial has a great demographic of high-quality members, and is very closely aligned with our target audience.  We look forward to offering them a unique and memorable afternoon by devising this bespoke experience for them.”

The social commerce site recently hosted the fastest selling deal in its history, when 30,000 Marks and Spencer gift cards were purchased by LivingSocial members in just over four hours.
