Hercules Unveils Two New Wireless Speakers: WAE BTP03 and WAE BTP03 Mini

New York - April 25, 2013 – Hercules, the expert audio solutions designer, is excited to unveil two new speakers for its Wireless Audio Experience (WAE*) product line. To satisfy even more unique tastes and expectations of music enthusiasts, the WAE range is expanding to include two new compact models: the BTP03 and the BTP03 Mini. Available in June, both speakers boast incredible portability, battery life, interconnectivity and sound.

BTP03
Based on the same compact and modern design as the existing BT03 (just 9.3 inches wide), the new BTP03 includes a high-capacity rechargeable battery. It can stream nearly 15 hours of music from your smartphone, tablet or any other device equipped with Bluetooth® wireless technology (at 80 percent volume). Despite its small size, it’s one of the most powerful speakers in its category, pumping out 12 watts RMS.
The BTP03 provides accurate sound quality, lifelike bass response plus realistic mid-range and treble performance. Thanks to its compact size and excellent battery life, the BTP03 can go everywhere: in every room of the home, on weekend getaways and vacations, too.
Available in stores this June, the BTP03 will be available in both black and green at the suggested retail price of $149.99
BTP03 Mini
At barely over 6.5 inches wide and weighing under one pound, listeners will be amazed by the battery life and audio clarity of such a small sound system.
Inspired by the design of the BT03 and BTP03 models, this new super-compact Bluetooth 2.0 speaker is easy to slip into a purse or bag, allowing users to take it anywhere and wirelessly stream music and audio stored on a smartphone or tablet. The BTP03 Mini boasts 14 hours of battery life (at 80 percent volume), so users can enjoy listening to their favorite tunes all day long.
The BTP03 Mini features two active drivers and dual bass reflex ports, providing clear sound.
Available in stores this June, the BTP03 will be available in several colors including black & orange, pink and red at the suggested retail price of $99.99
Interconnectivity and Power
Thanks to a built-in microphone, both the BTP03 and BTP03 Mini models include a hands-free, easy-to-use calling function. Connecting the speaker to a hi-fi system (using a mini-jack cable) turns the speaker into a Bluetooth receiver that lets users stream music from their smartphone or tablet.
Bluetooth A2DP multipoint technology lets users connect two phones at the same time: it takes just a few seconds to switch from one phone to the other (depending on the phones’ connection time).
To get even more output power from the BTP03 and BTP03 Mini, listeners can also connect multiple speakers to one another for joint playback.
WAE App for iOS and Android
Hercules also developed the “WAE Remote” – an extremely easy-to-use app that’s compatible with both iOS (4.0 and higher) and Android™ (2.2 and higher), providing listeners with another very convenient way to use the speaker.
The WAE App helps manage Hercules speakers equipped with Bluetooth technology, and turns users’ wireless music experience into a simple moment of pleasure. Intuitive, user-friendly and rich with ingenious features, the application is compatible with iOS (4.0 and above) and Android (2.2 and above). The WAE App allows users to easily control the speaker's volume and effects, , and to adjust the equalizer's settings to perfect tone.
