Myfox, the European smart home security expert, today announced that it will unveil its new Myfox Security Camera at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES®) in Las Vegas. The new Myfox Security Camera will be introduced alongside the new Myfox Security System at CES® Unveiled on January 4 and showcased throughout the duration of CES® 2015 from January 6-9, 2015 in Las Vegas (Sands Booth – 71429).

The Only Security Camera that Protects your Home and Privacy

The Myfox Security Camera features a remote controlled shutter, making it the FIRST and ONLY security camera that protects a user’s home and privacy. For a complete security solution, the Myfox Security Camera integrates with the Myfox Security System or can be used on its own for surveillance-only purposes.

As the first and only security camera with a remote controlled shutter, the Myfox Security Camera keeps users connected to what matters most while protecting their privacy. Offering protection from hacking intrusions as well as spying concerns, the Myfox Security Camera’s mechanical shutter completely covers the camera lens when not in use and prevents any unwanted image viewing or recording. The shutter can be controlled remotely via the app or set to automatically open when the user leaves home.

High Performance Video Surveillance

In addition to controlling the shutter, the smartphone app allows for remote viewing and recording capabilities. The surveillance solution also provides a full range of high performance features, including full 720p resolution and recording, a 130° wide viewing angle, Magic Zoom (up to 2x zoom without loss of any pixel), motion detection, night vision (with IR Cut filter), and two-way audio.

True Security Camera

Along with traditional movement and sound detection, the camera also includes a PIR motion sensor to ensure accurate and relevant event identification and notification. If unusual activity is detected, recording is triggered and an alert is sent to the user. Recordings are stored on Myfox secured cloud servers for playback anytime, anywhere.

In the case of a power outage, the Myfox Security Camera features an embedded battery providing up to one hour of backup and local recording. If used with the Myfox Security System, alert transmission is also backed-up.

The Myfox Security Camera will be on display at CES® Unveiled on January 4 and can be seen throughout the duration of CES® 2015 at the Sands (Booth – 71429) from January 6-9, 2015 in Las Vegas.
