Martinsons’ next step: initiates process to find a new majority owner

The wood industry business Martinsons has initiated a process to find a new majority owner of the Group. “We have the advantage of being able to make this decision in a strong position as we are considered a driving force in many of our markets,” says CEO Lars Martinson. “We are convinced that this is best for our operations in the long term.”During the fiscal year 2019, Martinsons’ turnover amounted to approximately EUR 180 million. After extensive investments in recent years, the company has set a long-term target of an annual production of 580,000 cubic meters of sawn goods.

The Martinsons timber group has assembled and delivered a stand with seating for 1744 spectators to Östersund and the Jämtkraft Arena over the course of just five weeks. Football club Östersunds FK needed the stand so it could meet the arena standard required to be able to host home matches in the Europa League group stage.“The stand from Martinsons was simply a necessity if we were to play in the Europa League.
