MEKO expands warehouse capacity in Poland

MEKO is expanding its warehouse capacity in Poland to strengthen its market position and support continued growth. The Polish central warehouse is being relocated to a facility nearly twice as large, enabling a broader selection and improved service to more customers. This move is strategically aligned with the previously announced agreement to acquire Elit Polska, positioning MEKO as the third largest player in the Polish automotive aftermarket.

MEKO's current central warehouse in Poland is located in the Warsaw region and is approximately 11,000 square meters in size. The new, already constructed central warehouse is in the same area and covers about 20,000 square meters. MEKO has signed a lease agreement with the property owner, granting access to the facility starting in 2025 for ten years, with the option to rent additional space if needed.

"Poland is an important growth market for MEKO, and this improvement provides the right conditions to continue gaining market share as our ambitions grow. We now have access to more modern and space-efficient premises in a strategic location in Poland, enabling us to enhance our service level and offering," says Pehr Oscarson, President and CEO of MEKO.

MEKO entered the Polish market in 2018 through the acquisition of Inter-Team, a spare parts wholesaler that also exports to Germany and other countries. In May, MEKO announced a new agreement for another strategic acquisition in Poland. Through an agreement with LKQ Corporation, MEKO is acquiring Elit Polska, a wholesaler with two central warehouses and 49 branch warehouses that complement MEKO's existing operations. This deal positions MEKO as the third largest player in Poland and further strengthens the company's leading position in the independent automotive aftermarket in Northern Europe. As previously announced, the intention is to complete the acquisition following a customary regulatory review.
