    Mekonomen divests the Danish business

    Mekonomen Group has signed an agreement to divest the Danish business, to the Danish T.Hansen Gruppen / AD Danmark. The transaction will be completed 28 December 2016 which means that Mekonomen Group will have exited Denmark and will therefore not incur any losses related to Denmark from 2017. The transaction will result in a negative non-recurring EBIT effect of SEK 25 M in the fourth quarter of 2016, in addition to the ordinary result generated in the Danish business in the fourth quarter.     Mekonomen’s acquisition of Meca approved by Swedish Competition Authority

    Mekonomen’s acquisition of the automotive spare-parts chain Meca has been approved by the Swedish Competition Authority. Since Meca also conducts business activities in Norway, approval is also required from the Norwegian Competition Authority.     New number of shares in Mekonomen AB (publ)

    On 27 January 2011, Mekonomen issued a press release stating that the company had reached an agreement with Otto Olsen Invest A/S to acquire all the shares in Sørensen og Balchen AS. It was announced that Mekonomen would issue approximately 1.9 million shares as part of the acquisition process. The acquisition was concluded on 11 March 2011 following approval by the Norwegian Competition Authority and a resolution passed at Mekonomen’s General Meeting.     Mekonomen acquires Norwegian spare parts chain Sørensen og Balchen AS

    Mekonomen has entered an agreement to acquire Sørensen og Balchen from Otto Olsen Invest. Sørensen og Balchen operates the BilXtra spare parts chain in Norway, which has 32 own stores, 41 affiliated stores and slightly more than 200 cooperating workshops.
