New number of shares in Mekonomen AB (publ)

On 27 January 2011, Mekonomen issued a press release stating that the company had reached an agreement with Otto Olsen Invest A/S to acquire all the shares in Sørensen og Balchen AS. It was announced that Mekonomen would issue approximately 1.9 million shares as part of the acquisition process. The acquisition was concluded on 11 March 2011 following approval by the Norwegian Competition Authority and a resolution passed at Mekonomen’s General Meeting.
