Metsä Board's 2020 Annual Report is published

Metsä Board Corporation Annual Financial Report 24 February 2021 at 2 p.m. EET

Metsä Board Corporation, part of Metsä Group, has published its 2020 Annual Report as a pdf file in Finnish and English. The Annual Report includes the company's Financial statements, the Report of the Board of Directors, and the Corporate governance statement for the financial period 1 January–31 December 2020. The Annual Report is available on the company's website at www.metsaboard.com/investors and as an appendix to this release. The printed Annual report will be published in week 11 and can be ordered from www.metsaboard.com/orderpublications.

In addition, Metsä Board has published its Remuneration Report and the Corporate governance statement for 2020 as separate pdf files in English and Finnish. These are available on the company's website at www.metsaboard.com/investors and as appendices to this release.

The Annual Report opens Metsä Board's strategy and its implementation in 2020 and describes how the company creates value for its various stakeholders. Metsä Board’s products and services that promote the circular economy, as well as innovative packaging solutions, support customers' sustainable business operations and meet global challenges. Metsä Board’s own ambitious 2030 sustainability targets aim to mitigate climate change and develop a low-carbon economy.

The financial statements are also published as XHTML files in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements. In accordance with ESEF requirements, the main statements of the consolidated financial statements are marked with XBRL tags, which have been assured by the auditing firm KPMG Oy Ab, in accordance with the ISAE 3000 (revised) assurance engagement standard. The ESEF financial statements are available in the zip file attached to this release and at www.metsaboard.com/investors.

Metsä Group's Annual Review, in English and Finnish, as well as the Group Sustainability Report in English, have also been published in pdf formats. They are available on Metsä Group's website at www.metsagroup.com.
