This is a very prestigious order for us and we are tremendously proud that UNSW has chosen our machine to do research on the next generation of solar cells. It was at UNSW that the solar cell made it out of the research labs and onto the market and we look forward to seeing what they can accomplish using the Midsummer UNO.

We are very impressed by Midsummer’s technology and excited to use the Midsummer UNO in our research. The ability to automize test series and to have a scalable manufacturing process have been important factors for us. The fact that the solar cell is produced in an unbroken vacuum chain also means that it is very easy to scale up to mass production with Midsummer’s manufacturing system DUO.

The premises and location are perfect for our purpose with fantastic climate, optimal solar radiation and in the middle of the very interesting southern European solar market.

Being able to power our trucks with solar energy would be a massive breakthrough for the truck industry that is working relentlessly to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

It is promising that project calculations indicate good possibilities for actual fuel savings. Our type of flexible and thin film solar cells is necessary to drive the development in the direction that the automotive industry needs to take in order to reach global climate goals.

Our unique selling point has always been the appearance of our solar panels and we constantly strive for our customers not to have to compromise between elegance and efficiency. Now that they are becoming even more visually invisible as well as more effective, it feels very promising.

The improved coverage ratio means our best power per square meter yet and the natural application will be on buildings with large roof area.

As a listed green tech company it is fundamental that our investors know that we are sustainable in everything we do.

We see fantastic possibilities to grow our own production as part of the green conversion that has already started. We also see additional possibilities when the EU must get the economical wheels rolling again and adapt to a new reality post-corona.
