Miss Group acquires leading hybrid cloud provider Ballou
High growth web hosting company Miss Group has acquired Ballou, a Swedish hybrid cloud and shared web hosting provider, in a transaction adding 13,000 new accounts to the business.
The acquisition takes BGF-backed Miss Group to 193,000 global accounts and reinforces underlines a continuation of the high growth strategy pursued since the company’s inception in 2014.
Ballou is a well-known hosting brand that specializes in cloud and hosting operations. Since launching 22 years ago, the business has grown significantly and now has an annual turnover of around €2.5 million. Its aim is to provide customers with simple IT solutions, professional advice and accessible, safe and secure IT operations in Swedish data centers.

In August 2018, Miss Group received a £6.4m investment backed by BGF, and in June 2019 a further £13m investment from the UK and Ireland’s most active investor which helped pave the way for the business’s international expansion.
The funding has allowed the business to build further expand via organic growth and by acquiring web hosting companies in new and existing markets. Miss Group has also received £20m funding from HSBC and prior to that, funding from Harbert European Growth Capital.
