Free seminars highlight sustainable potential of Ecodan heat pumps
Mitsubishi Electric has announced a programme of free seminars highlighting the integral role heat pump technology has to play in both the commercial and residential heating sectors.
With rising energy bills and a raft of challenging legislation driving the demand for renewable, low-carbon alternatives to gas, oil and LPG heating, the company believes that the time is right for modern heat pumps to demonstrate their full potential.
“The recent announcement on the Renewable Heat Incentive will help to increase demand for straightforward alternatives to traditional heating and this is where heat pumps can really make a difference,” explains Graham Temple, Marketing Communications Manager.
“Not only are these highly efficient systems easier to install, maintain and operate than many other renewable systems, they can also significantly reduce running costs for both hard pressed businesses and households, whilst significantly lowering emissions.”
The company is the manufacturer of the market-leading Ecodan® range of heat pumps, which use the latest technology to upgrade renewable energy from the outside air or ground, to provide space and water heating.
Mitsubishi Electric will be holding two separate events each month starting on 11thand 12thDecember. The first day will cover the residential sector, looking at solutions for both home and community heating schemes, whilst the second day will cover the commercial sector and examine systems that are designed to replace or work alongside existing heating.
The seminars, which will be held at the company’s Hatfield headquarters, start at 9:00am and end with lunch. Visitors will also be able to visit the Ecodan display van and the company’s extensive showrooms, to see the range of different heating solutions available.
“These seminars are ideal for anyone who wants to know more about the technology and will include guest speakers who will talk about their own personal experiences of heat pumps,” adds Temple, explaining that the days have been designed to highlight the integral role heat pump technology has to play in helping the nation reduce energy bills, lower emissions, and help us all achieve a sustainable future.
The performance of the company’s Ecodan system was independently verified in a recent report by the Energy Saving Trust, which showed that the heat pumps demonstrated average estimated annual operating cost savings of 8% over a gas condensing boiler, 36% over an oil condensing boiler and 67% over a direct electric heating system.
