K-CON solutions bring world-class quality to add-on products

Mitsubishi Electric has launched a host of new products designed to enhance and strengthen the range of air conditioning, ventilation and leak detection solutions available to the market.

Developed in conjunction with the K-CON Division of wholesaler, Kooltech, the K-CON range has been designed specifically for the UK market and includes many unique offerings only available from the manufacturer.

“We have identified gaps in traditional product line-ups and have worked with the K-CON Division to find bespoke solutions that fill those gaps,” explains Mark Grayston, Air Conditioning Product Manager for Mitsubishi Electric.

The unique products include a BC (Branch Controller) box with port isolation which allows engineers to service individual indoor units without shutting down the entire VRF system; and a discrete low-profile temperature sensor which is ideal for environments where aesthetics are a primary consideration, such as hotels.

Also available for the first time is an IP43-rated, weather-proof housing for the full range of LGH-RX5 Lossnay mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) units.  This allows the ventilation system to be installed outdoors and is ideal where internal space is restricted.

For server rooms and other critical situations, Mitsubishi Electric’s PFD range of air conditioning is second to none and the company has enhanced the line-up with a pre-fabricated stand which eliminates the need for a bespoke design and manufacture. The units include an in-built air scoop to optimise air flow and flexible height adjustment.

Finally, the company has developed specific answers to refrigerant gas detection, with full solutions for both EN378 compliance and for helping achieve recognition within BREEAM.

The detection system is available in a semi-conductor or infra-red version to suit almost any application and includes a room alarm indication and actuated ball valves to enable refrigerant pump down if necessary.

“We know we have one of the most comprehensive product ranges on the market and we have looked at how we can enhance that to help our customers,” adds Grayston.

“These new products will ensure that there is less downtime and the complete installation is backed by Mitsubishi Electric’s world-class standards.”
