Pre-plumbed Ecodan® cylinders ease operation and improve installation flexibility
Mitsubishi Electric has launched a new line-up of pre-plumbed and pre-wired hot water cylinders, in both standard and solar configurations, with advanced controls that provide superior functionality and eases both operation and installation.
Fast on-site commissioning is now available via a pre-programmed SD card and both cylinders offer a hybrid function, for use with conventional boilers and a cascade function for multiple Ecodan unit control.
The hybrid capability enables existing premises with existing, high-carbon systems to benefit from renewable heating, and the cascade facility allows larger buildings and community heating schemes to take advantage of Ecodan’s award-winning performance.
“We have developed these to bring the full functionality of our fourth generation of self-learning controls to even more properties,” explains John Kellett, Heating Systems General Manager.
The optimised units come complete with integral hydraulic controls and advanced self-learning controls. Both cylinders are designed to integrate with the Ecodan® monobloc air source heat pump range and provide advanced performance with a simple to use, graphical interface controller.
The cylinders use Mitsubishi Electric’s FTC-4 controller, complete with an integrated immersion heater relay and intelligent, self-learning controls which offer room compensation capabilities to regulate the flow temperature according to need.
With two-zone, energy efficient space heating control, both units are compatible with Mitsubishi Electric wireless room controllers and are available in solar sizes ranging from 210L to 300L and standard versions in sizes ranging from 150L to 300L.
They are also factory-fitted with Fernox TF1 filtration system and the solar unit also includes a secondary coil for connection to solar thermal systems.
Both new cylinders also appear in the new ‘Heating for Domestic Applications’ brochure which the company has recently produced, detailing the full range of Ecodan solutions for UK homes.
