About Us

On September 16, 1946, the first Montgomery College classes were held in the evenings at a local high school with a student body of 186 men and women. Today, the College has grown to a multi-campus institution and serves nearly 60,000 students a year, through both credit and noncredit programs, in more than 100 areas of study.

Montgomery College Earns All Four 2014 Alliance for Workplace Excellence Awards

Montgomery College will receive the Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval, the Health and Wellness Seal of Approval Award, the EcoLeadership Award and the Diversity Champion Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence, a nonprofit organization that recognizes “Excellent Places to Work.” The Alliance will recognize Montgomery College and other area employers at its annual awards ceremony on May 20 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
