Mott MacDonald appoints experienced director to commercial team
Mott MacDonald has appointed Guy Solway to its construction economics team as a projects director. Guy will assist with the continued development and expansion of the consultancy’s commercial team, drawing on over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
Previously with Davis Langdon, Guy has specialist knowledge of cost management, particularly in the relationship between city centre offices and tall buildings. He has a proven track record of leading and delivering large complex projects and programmes of work.
Guy will work with existing Mott MacDonald clients to successfully deliver commercial projects, identify new development opportunities both in the UK and abroad and also look for other opportunities related to the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and low carbon buildings.

Mott MacDonald appoints Patrick Kennerson as programme controls director
Mott MacDonald has appointed Patrick Kennerson as programme controls director of its programme and commercial management division to modernise and fully integrate its programme controls service offering.
Patrick brings with him 15 years’ experience as a senior programme controls system architect managing financial, cost, estimating, scheduling, procurement, accounting and contract administration disciplines for complex engineering and construction projects. He has previously worked for Thales Aerospace and BAA PLC in the programme controls area, and will be helping Mott MacDonald win new business. Patrick will also be working with existing clients to review and improve their current controls system architecture.

Mott MacDonald appoints leading construction design and management specialist
Mott MacDonald has appointed Peter Symondson to lead the consultancy’s successful safety advisory service and to further develop its business. As part of the company’s programme and commercial management Peter will also look at new opportunities to expand Mott MacDonald’s business in the municipal sector.
Peter was formerly a technical director at Mouchel and led the development of their construction design management (CDM) and assurance services business. In his new role Peter will enhance Mott MacDonald’s core competencies. This will include consultancy services for the application and implementation of key national and international standards and management of functions related to health and safety and CDM.
