Mott MacDonald retained on €120 million N33 Assen – Zuidbroek PPP project, Netherlands

Mott MacDonald has been retained as lenders’ technical advisor by Poort van Noord¹ on the €120 million N33 Assen – Zuidbroek PPP project near Groningen in the Netherlands. The project, which will improve traffic flow in the region and increase road safety on the highway, reached financial close on November 21 2012. The scheme widens 40km of the N33 from single carriageway to dual carriageway and includes 27 structures which will be built or enlarged, including the construction of a movable bridge over the Winschoterdiep. The A7 junction will also be remodeled to a cloverleaf interchange.
