Nearly 1,000 Schools Nominated for STANLEY Security's "TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS" Grant Program; Voting Now Begins

At least One School from Every State Represented

Indianapolis, IN – November 6, 2013 – STANLEY Security, a leader in providing schools with safer learning environments, announces that the nomination period has closed and voting has begun for its TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program to help schools enhance their security on campuses. Through the program, U.S. schools are offered the opportunity to receive security products and services through a $500,000 grant from STANLEY. During the 45-day nomination period between September 13 and October 28, nearly 1,000 schools were nominated, with at least one school represented from every state in the continental U.S.

Communities can vote daily online for their local school at www.stanleysaferschools.com, or by texting the name of the school and city to 99222. Voting ends at 11:59 pm on December 13, and the winning schools will be announced in the following weeks.

The school with the most votes by December 13 will win $200,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. Three runners-up will each receive $100,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. These products and services could include classroom locks, traditional or audio intrusion systems, video surveillance, access control systems and more. Prizes will be awarded in 2014.

Nominated schools can promote voting in the community by downloading an electronic School Voting Kit. The kit includes fliers to print or e-mail, guidance for social media and e-mail content and a press release template. Participating schools can click here to download the School Voting Kit PDF.
