The new Stanley door closer is available with universal mounting, accommodating both push and pull side applications, and provides the convenience of electronic hold-open at various field selectable positions. This new product incorporates a robust forged steel main arm assembly, and a cylinder body manufactured of R-14 high strength silicon aluminum alloy formed with a robust precision die casting technology – the same material and process that gives Stanley’s heavy duty door closers their high strength, superior toughness, and excellent wear and leak resistance.
The new Stanley D-4550EH door closer is intended for use in healthcare, hospitality, retail, transportation, and other facilities where single or paired fire rated cross corridor applications are continuously held open to provide clear, uninterrupted traffic flow. It can also be integrated with facility fire alarm systems enabling reliable mechanical closing to facilitate positive latching of the respective locking hardware.
