Something of Everything for Everyone

Glenview, IL. – September 7, 2010 - The Glen Town Center announces the opening of the Mobile Shack, The Math Learning Center, Cup of Cake and Aaron Galleries. Both The Mathnasium Learning Center and Aaron Galleries opened September 7, 2010.

These new additions contribute electronics, education, edibles and art to the collection of shops and merchandise already available at The Glen Town Center, providing a little bit of everything for everyone. 

“We are excited about all of the newcomers to The Glen Town Center, which will provide terrific new selections for all our patrons,” Tom Sikoral, Senior General Manager of The Glen Town Center said. “The kids can learn at Mathnasium and enjoy treats from Cup of Cake after lessons. While the teens accessorize their cell phones with custom cases from the Mobile Shack, the adults can appreciate the art showcased at Aarons Galleries!”

The Mobile Shack

The Mobile Shack, a co-manufacturer and world-wide exporter of mobile phone accessories and spare parts, officially opened at The Glen Town Center in May 2010.

Featuring cell phones and more, The Mobile Shack also offers Dish Network Service, Clear 4G High Speed Internet, Verizon service, custom cases for cell phones and much more. Additional services include computer repair and cell phone repair.

The Mobile Shack is located at 1972 Tower Drive, next to Von Maur, and is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Mathnasium Learning Center

The Mathnasium Learning Center, an after-school enriching math experience for students, opened for educational lessons beginning September 7, 2010.

The Mathnasium Learning Center offers a highly specialized program for students in Pre-K to Pre-Calculus with the goal of increasing a child’s math skills, understanding of math concepts and overall school performance. The program uses a unique combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques to further the learning process. The comprehensive curriculum also provides a supportive environment to enhance your child’s confidence in their mathematical skills.

The Mathnasium Learning Center is located at 2650 Valor Drive and is open Monday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m

Cup of Cake

Cup of Cake will fulfill everyone’s sweet tooth, offering cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, whoopee pies and other baked goods, both savory and sweet, and will be open for business beginning mid October.

The shop will featuring six different signature flavors of cupcakes everyday including chocolate, vanilla and red velvet -- all made from scratch. The “Cup of Cake Station” allows a patron to customize his/her own cake in a cup, choosing from chocolate or vanilla cake, a variety frostings, fillings, custards, fruits and assorted toppings such as sprinkles, crushed candy bars, chocolate fudge and vanilla ice cream.

Cup of Cake is located at 1875 Tower Drive across from Yard House, and will be open 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Aaron Galleries

Aaron Galleries, a fine art and antique gallery specializing in 19th and 20th century American paintings and prints, opens its doors September 7, 2010.

Aaron Galleries will feature American Impressionism, American Primitive, Early Modernism, Post-World War II, contemporary paintings and much more. The gallery will also offer American Master Prints from artists such as Grant Wood, Thomas Hart Benton, George Bellows, John Sloan and Rockwell Kent.

Aaron Galleries is located at 2011 Tower Drive, across the street from Von Maur, and will be open Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or by appointment.
