myFC has signed a collaboration agreement with Nilsson Energy, a supplier of sustainable hydrogen production and energy storage solutions. The collaboration means that the parties together can offer competitive complete solutions for green power production in connection with the customers' own production facilities.
– Nilsson Energy is a long-term player and is seen as a pioneer in green hydrogen production. Together, we can deliver a closed and sustainable cycle with green hydrogen as the basis for our patented fuel cell technology, says Michael Glantz, CEO of myFC.

Nilsson Energy – a company based in Gothenburg in Sweden – builds emission-free plants where renewable energy is used for hydrogen production through electrolysis.

The production facilities are delivered turnkey to the customers, site-built or in container solutions.

– For customers, this means both that they get an emission-free and sustainable energy source, plus a reduced dependence on fluctuating electricity prices and existing infrastructure, says Michael Glantz at myFC.

This collaboration provides the opportunity for a completely green energy. The only raw material used in hydrogen production from renewable sources is ordinary water. When converting to electrical energy in the fuel cells, pure water is also the only residual product. This gives end customers opportunities to secure energy availability when needed, reduce costs and act sustainably.

Nilsson Energy also views the cooperation between the companies very positively. According to co-owner and business developer Martina Wettin, it is a very good match and completely in line with the green transition that is accelerating globally.

– We both work with green and sustainable technology and have had a lot of contact over the years. myFC is a company with strong drive and innovative power, and together we have a very competitive offer, says Martina Wettin.

For a year and a half, myFC has worked with business-to-business (B2B) in soft mobility and intralogistics, where the company's patented fuel cell solutions provide unique opportunities for customers. In 2021, the strategy has been fruitful in the form of development collaborations with two large global companies.

When it comes to intralogistics, the collaboration with Nilsson Energy falls extra well into place.

– Our fuel cells are very well suited for automated storage robots of the type AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles), and in connection with a warehouse building, it is also easy to fit in with Nilsson Energy's production facilities for hydrogen, says Michael Glantz.

myFC's patented technology for malleable and scalable micro fuel cells, unlike the stacked fuel cells that are common on the market, can be accommodated in the limited spaces that a storage robot offers. Compared to battery operation alone, there are several important advantages. Since it only takes a few minutes to refill the hydrogen tank, an operating time of approximately 99.5 percent is obtained, which reduces investment costs as fewer robots are needed.
