myFC has been granted two key patents in the USA and South Korea. The patents includes a unique construction which is key to myFC’s thin and highly effective PEM fuel cell and underlies the fuel cells’ long life and runtime.

The granted patent in the USA covers crucial parts of myFC’s fuel cell construction, components and component design, which lie behind the flat, thin, bendable and flexible fuel cell design as implemented in myFC’s upcoming product, JAQ.

The granted patent in Korea covers the technology which enables a considerable longer life and runtime of the fuel cell compared to the existing designs which are currently on the market.

“It feels incredibly satisfying to broaden the patent protection in one of our most important markets, the USA. The strengthening of our patent profile in Asia is also an important part of our strategy to protect our unique technology in one of the world’s fastest growing markets for green mobile technology,” says Björn Westerholm, CEO of myFC.

The approved patents in the USA and Korea strengthen myFC’s market position further and the existing patent portfolio. In total, myFC now has 66 submitted patents within 8 patent families, where 33 have been approved.
