Athanassios Boukas new President of NCC Purchasing Group
On January 1, 2009, Athanassios Boukas will take over as President of NCC Purchasing Group, NPG. He will report directly to NCC’s Chief Executive Officer, Olle Ehrlén.
NPG is a wholly owned subsidiary intended to reduce the NCC Group’s purchasing costs through international purchasing, Group-wide purchasing agreements and management of product assortments.
– Reducing the company’s costs through more intelligent purchasing work will be even more important during the recession. Boukas has been working since 2007 to establish NCC’s purchasing offices outside Sweden and also has extensive purchasing experience outside NCC. This, in combination with excellent leadership qualities and communicative abilities, are attributes I consider very valuable, says NCC CEO Olle Ehrlén.
Athanassios Boukas joined NPG in June 2007 and has been purchasing manager and responsible for NCC’s international purchasing offices in Europe and Asia. Previously, he held a position as purchasing manager at Emerson Energy Systems, a company that supplies power systems for radio base stations.
Boukas succeeds Johanna Hagelberg, who is moving to the insurance sector, where she will become Supply Chain Director at Sun Alliance Scandinavia (RSA) after the New Year.
