Cooperation with Aker Kvaerner gives NCC SEK 158-211 million orders NCC Construction has entered into a letter of intent with Aker Kværner to carry out the civil works portion of their Ormen Lange construction contract at Nyhavna for Norsk Hydro. The job includes the gas reception and exports area as well as areas for slug catcher, flare tower and emergency shut down valves. NCC's civil activities basically cover ground and foundation works and construction of an electro substation. - At Nyhavna we will also be including resources from the team that successfully built the Snøhvit LNG tanks at Melkøya. NCC has a long track record with the offshore industry having participated in projects like Ekofisk, Kårstø, Mongstad, Kollsnes, Tjeldbergodden and Melkøya. We will contribute to Aker Kværner's on schedule project completion, says Petter Moe, senior vice president NCC Construction. The value of the agreement is estimated to be in the area of NOK 150-200 million (SEK 158-211). Civil construction will commence by May 2005 and shall be completed in December 2005. NCC will immediately be integrated in Aker Kværner's engineering, procurement and construction team for this part of Norsk Hydro's plant at Nyhavna.
