Jan Sjöqvist to retire from position as NCC´s President and CEO The Board of Directors of NCC and the Group's Chief Executive Officer, Jan Sjöqvist, have jointly decided that the time is now right from the Company's viewpoint for a change of CEO. Jan Sjöqvist has been a member of NCC´s Group Management for 16 years and has been Chief Executive Officer for nearly eight years. During his time as CEO, he successfully transformed NCC from a Swedish construction company with various peripheral businesses into a leading, well-focused Nordic construction and real estate development group. A strategic reorientation, which includes increased specialization and a concentration on operations offering higher added value, was established during the autumn. Operations outside Sweden account for nearly half of NCC´s sales and the Group has grown at an annual rate of 20 percent in the past five years. All of this has created a strong strategic platform. "Jan Sjöqvist has been a successful Chief Executive Officer. Since the Group is currently entering a new phase and the business climate is very strong at present, the Board of Directors and Jan have nevertheless agreed that it is now the right time to appoint a new CEO," says Hans Larsson, Chairman of the NCC Board. A process has been initiated to find a suitable successor. Jan Sjöqvist will remain in his current position until a new CEO has been appointed and is in place.
