Matti Haapala new president of NCC Puolimatka

Matti Haapala new president of NCC Puolimatka Matti Haapala has been appointed new president of NCC Puolimatka, effective April 1, 1999. The current president, Markku Markkola, will then become member of NCC Puolimatka's Board of Directors. Matti Haapala, 51, is a civil engineer and a Master of Business Administration. He is currently president of the Finnish construction group YIT's Building business area, managing construction operations in Finland that generate annual sales of slightly more than FIM 3.5 billion. Matti Haapala has been a YIT employee since 1970. NCC Puolimatka is focusing on expanding its business operations and the current strengthening of its executive management can be viewed in the light of the comprehensive process of change that awaits. NCC Puolimatka is the fourth largest construction and real estate company in Finland, with annual sales of FIM 2.4 billion and approximately 2,000 employees.
