NCC acquires three properties in central Gothenburg for SEK 131 million

NCC acquires three properties in central Gothenburg for SEK 131 million NCC Real Estate has reached an agreement with Hasselblad regarding the acquisition of three properties on Östra Hamngatan, opposite the Opera House in central Gothenburg, for SEK 131 million. The properties, which currently contain office and industrial premises, are to be developed into state-of-the- art office properties when they are vacated by Hasselblad. "The acquisition is fully in line with our strategy of developing attractive properties in locations that offer value growth," says Stephan Ekstedt, Regional Manager for NCC Real Estate in Gothenburg. "The acquired properties are situated in one of Gothenburg's most attractive locations, where NCC Real Estate already owns all the properties in the adjacent property block." During recent years, NCC Real Estate's operations in Gothenburg have undergone restructuring, which has resulted in the real estate portfolio being concentrated in the inner city area, from Järntorget to Nils Ericssonplatsen. The three acquired properties, which are between 30 and 130 years old, contain a total of approximately 19,000 square meters of floor space and have been own by Hasselblad throughout their existence. Hasselblad intends to remain a tenant in the properties for a few more years. NCC Real Estate will take over the properties on February 1.
