NCC awarded construction contracts in Sollentuna totaling SEK 170 million

NCC awarded construction contracts in Sollentuna totaling SEK 170 million NCC has been commissioned by Sollentunahem to construct, refurbish and extend a large number of residential apartments in the Edsbergs Centrum shopping center, and to refurbish a residential center for senior citizens on Malmvägen in Sollentuna. The Edsbergs Centrum project will also include the refurbishment of commercial premises. The assignment has a total order value approximately SEK 170 million. The Edsbergs Centrum project, which is worth about SEK 133 million, represents the third phase of the Etiketten property block. The phase includes production of 36 new apartment units, refurbishment of 28 existing apartments and an extension consisting of 18 apartments. Several commercial premises in the shopping center will also be refurbished and extended. Work on the project will start in August 2004 and be completed in December 2005. "We have enjoyed excellent relations with Sollentunahem for a long time and are very pleased that they have again placed their trust in us," says Filip Bjurström, Business Manager at NCC. The refurbishment of the residential center for senior citizens on Malmvägen, which runs alongside the Sollentuna Centrum shopping center, is part of the larger Tureberg Renewal Project. This phase of the project, valued at approximately SEK 36 million, involves the refurbishment of stairwells, commercial premises and fan rooms in two buildings. The contract also includes an option on an additional seven buildings. Work on this assignment started recently and will be completed in February 2005.
