Report this content

NCC is purchasing Rodamco Europe’s share of the jointly owned company Sollentuna Fastighets AB and at the same time selling the properties included in the company to the Scandinavian shopping center developer Steen & Strøm, which will take possession on December 30, 2005. The transaction will have a marginal effect on NCC’s earnings.

The sale comprises the properties Centrum 4 and Centrum 14, currently consisting of 20,000 square meters of lettable space. A new local plan for development of the shopping center is being prepared and is expected to become law during 2006. The renovation and expansion, which will be conducted in partnership with NCC, will be decided during the autumn. Steen & Strøm plan to expand the shopping center by about 16,000 square meters and to renovate the existing facilities. The total investment is expected to amount to about SEK 1 billion. Steen & Strøm see this as a step in strengthening its position in Scandinavia.
