NCC has initiated construction of the first phase of a major development project in central Hämeenlinna in Finland. The investment in the project totals approximately SEK 1 billion. The first phase will be registered among orders in the third quarter of 2011.

Development of the area is a result of cooperation between the city of Hämeenlinna and NCC. NCC is acquiring the development rights to the city.

The project comprises a total of approximately 26,500 square meters of leasable floor space, 800 parking spaces and 200 housing units. The entire project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2014.

Half of the leasable space in the shopping center is currently leased.

The project will be operated on a proprietary basis by NCC Property Development and construction will be executed by NCC Construction Finland. The first phase will be registered among orders in the third quarter of 2011.
