NCC receives construction orders in Denmark worth SEK 600 million Orders received by NCC during the past month include an assignment to construct the new head office of Nykredit at Kalvebod Brygge in central Copenhagen. NCC is also engaged in final negotiations with Marriott and Nykredit regarding the construction of Scandinavia's first Marriott hotel on the same site. The projects will be implemented by NCC's wholly owned Danish subsidiary NCC Rasmussen & Schiøtz in a 50/50 consortium with Højgaard & Schultz. From NCC's viewpoint, the total value of the construction orders is slightly more than SEK 600 million. Nykredit's new head office will contain a total of 24,000 square meters of floor space, providing room for 700 employees. The building is scheduled to be ready for occupancy on July 1, 2001. The five-star Marriott hotel that Nykredit plans to have built on the same site will have 400 rooms and 27,000 square meters of floor space. The hotel is to be ready for occupancy during late summer 2001. With a total of slightly more than 50,000 square meters of newly built floor space, this will be one of Denmark's largest building projects, employing 600 people during the construction period.
