NCC receives order from Botniabanan to build tunnel in Örnsköldsvik for SEK 201 million NCC has received an additional order from Botniabanan AB. The latest order, which is for the construction of a railway tunnel through the Åsberget mountain in central Örnsköldsvik, is worth SEK 201 million. In October, NCC was commissioned to construct a new station area and a new ski-jumping hill in Örnsköldsvik. The latest assignment comprises construction of a 1,000-meter-long railway tunnel for single-track traffic, including a 400-meter-long service tunnel, through Åsberget in central Örnsköldsvik. The assignment also includes construction of approximately 5 kilometers of railway terracing between Åsberget and Arnäsval, north of Örnsköldsvik, as well as bridges over the railway, a portal for a pedestrian and cycle path and a railway bridge over the pedestrian and cycle path. Work will commence at the beginning of December and the project is scheduled for completion in July 2005.
