NCC receives order worth SEK 100 million for E65 Highway Sweden's National Road Administration has commissioned NCC to widen the existing E65 Highway and to construct a new access road to Skurup. The contract will involve widening the highway from the current 12 meters to four lanes and nearly 16 meters along an approximately 10-kilometer section between Börringe and Skurup. The new access road to Skurup will be 1.5 kilometers long and nine meters wide, with a parallel path for pedestrians and bicyclists. The assignment also includes the construction of six concrete bridges. The total order value is approximately SEK 100 million. "The contract to expand the E65 Highway will significantly improve road safety," says Nils-Arne Larsson, Contract Manager. "From NCC's viewpoint, this is a satisfying order, since it complements previous major orders in eastern Skåne." The project will be initiated immediately and is scheduled for completion in June 2002. About 25 persons will be engaged in the project.
