NCC Roads A/S of Denmark is selling its 43-percent shareholding in UAB NCC Fegda, a Lithuanian company. The purchasers are four joint owners of the company and the sales price is approximately SEK 69 million. The transaction will generate a capital gain, which will be booked during the second quarter of 2005.

UAB NCC Fegda is headquartered in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The company has nearly 300 employees and reported sales of approximately SEK 190 million in 2004. UAB NCC Fegda is the largest asphalt company in the Vilnius region. The company’s operations consist of the manufacture and laying of asphalt and of civil engineering activities. Civil engineering operations account for about 60 percent of the company’s sales. “The divestment of UAB NCC Fegda means that NCC Roads has completely withdrawn from the Baltic asphalt market. This is in line with our strategy of focusing NCC Roads’ operations on the Nordic and Polish markets,” says Tomas Carlsson, head of New Markets within NCC Roads. The purchasers are four current joint owners of the company, including three employees of UAB NCC Fegda. The purchase consideration will be paid in full during the second quarter of 2005.
