NCC sells company in Swaziland

Report this content

NCC International Denmark A/S has sold its majority shareholding in Inyatsi Construction Ltd, a company based in Swaziland. The purchaser is the current minority shareholding Litfole Lenyatsi Ltd and the sale will give rise to a minor capital loss of approximately SEK 13.5 million.

The sale of Inyatsi is a feature of efforts to discontinue the NCC International Projects business area and to concentrate NCC’s operations to the countries around the Baltic Sea. Inyatsi mainly engages in road construction in Swaziland, in many cases on behalf of the World Bank or Nordic aid organizations. The company, which has slightly more than 400 employees, had sales of SEK 118 MSEK in 2004 and reported a loss of SEK 34 million. A total of SEK 78 million was included in NCC’s closing accounts for 2004 for contracting and bank guarantees on behalf of Inyatsi. As a result of the sale, these guarantees no longer exist. The sales consideration was SEK 1. (one) For further information, please contact: Ulf Thorné, Press Relations Manager, NCC Group, +46 8 585 523 46, +46 70 214 77 27
