NCC to build a school and kindergarten in Helsinki

NCC has been commissioned by the City of Helsinki to build a school and kindergarten in Länsi-Pakila, in the northern part om Helsinki, Finland. Construction will start in the autumn and the order value amounts approximately SEK 150 million. 

The collaboration is the second phase of the Pakilanpuisto school project alliance, where the parties have built several school buildings in close cooperation since year 2020. NCC is now building another school building with healthy, safe and functional facilities for a kindergarten and Pakilas elementary schools primary and secondary school students. The building will also house a unit for children with special needs.

The new building has been developed in close collaboration with the school's future users and in consultation with the area's neighbors. NCC is also building the nearby Namika Arena, which will be used for sports activities by the school.

Construction is scheduled to commence during the autumn 2022 and the school is expected to be completed in 2023.

The order value is approximately SEK 150 million and will be registered among orders in the second quarter of 2022 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
