NCC has been commissioned by LKAB to build a loading and unloading station in Kiruna. The order is worth approximately SEK 150 million.

The order includes landscaping and construction work for LKAB in Kiruna and the facility, which is part of a program to significantly boost production and transportation capacity for pellets, will be constructed at the industrial site in Kiruna. The assignment comprises project design and construction of a new loading and unloading station for the outward freight of pellets. Construction will commence immediately and will be completed by December 2007. On average, 30 NCC employees will be engaged in the project. The project will be implemented in the form of a turnkey contract based on a partnering format. This means that the customer, contractor and designer form an integrated project organization with strictly delineated responsibility and with joint incentives for achieving the goals established for the project. The project will be included in orders received during the fourth quarter of 2006.
