NCC to build logistics property in Finland for SEK 153 million

NCC to build logistics property in Finland for SEK 153 million NCC Finland, in cooperation with Nordisk Renting Oy, has reached an agreement with tire manufacturer Nokian Tyres Abp regarding construction of a logistics property in Nokia, outside Tampere, Finland. The investment totals approximately SEK 153 million, corresponding to about EUR 17 million. The new property will consist of a tire warehouse totaling 34,000 square meters. NCC will commence construction activities during autumn 2004 and the property is scheduled for completion at the end of 2005. The property, which will be located outside central Nokia, will contain modern warehouse premises. The geographical location is of key importance, as the property will be situated adjacent to Nokian Tyres' tire-manufacturing unit, close to major thoroughfares. Nokian Tyres plc has 2,760 employees and manufactures tires for cars, bicycles and heavy trucks. The company also operates Vianor, one of the largest tire chains in the Nordic region, with 170 sales outlets in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia and Latvia.
