NCC to build new Bislett stadium in Oslo for SEK 237 million NCC Construction in Norway has been commissioned by the Municipality of Oslo to build the new Bislett stadium in Oslo. NCC will be the turnkey contractor and the contract is worth NOK 220 million, corresponding to approximately SEK 237 million, plus options. The first phase of the project must be completed in sufficient time to enable the Bislett Games to be held in July 2005. The second phase is to be completed by December 2005. Planning and project work will commence immediately and preparatory work will start on August 1. The project will be staffed by 65-70 NCC employees and 25-30 employees of subcontractors. At most, the site will employ 90 people. Construction of Bislett stadium will be a large assignment involving prefabricated concrete. Since it is a turnkey assignment, NCC will deliver everything from terraces and running tracks to technical equipment for sporting events.
