The new head office is being built adjacent to Energinet’s existing offices and will future-proof the operations’ possibility to grow. The new building will be approximately 27,000 square meters in size and house 900 work spaces, a canteen and conference rooms.

“NCC, in partnership with architects and advisers, has produced a well thought-out and detailed proposal for a modern and efficient office building that will seamlessly connect with the existing office. It is gratifying that Energinet chose our solution and we look forward to constructing this solid building,” says Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Head of NCC Building Nordics.

The new office will be built partly of wood, with wood floors and pillars that will promote a comfortable indoor climate, among other benefits. Experiences will be brought in from projects including the Danish Building and Property Agency’s new WoodHub office in Odense, which is being constructed by NCC using the same team of architects and advisers.

The goal is for the building to be certified under the DGNB Gold standard.

Construction will commence in the summer of 2024 and completion is expected in 2026.

The order value is approximately SEK 900 million and will be registered among orders in the fourth quarter of 2023 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
