The railway embankment will start in the village of Ava, north of Nyåkersviken, and extend right up to Nordmaling, slightly north of Kungsvägen. The final section between Rödviken and Kungsvägen can be initiated now that the E4 Expressway has moved to its new location. Production is scheduled to commence in early January 2005 and the project will be completed during November 2006. NCC has been awarded several major contracts for the Bothnia Line during 2003 and 2004. The embankment between Ava and Nordmaling is the eleventh contract granted to NCC since the project started. The contract is subject to there being no appeal under the Public Procurement Act.
