NCC to build prison in Denmark for SEK 163 million NCC Construction Denmark has reached an agreement with the Direktorate for Kriminalforsorgen (Danish directorate for prison supply) regarding the construction of the Østjylland national prison at Horsens, in eastern Jutland. The order is worth approximately SEK 163 million (DKK 134 million). In the face of competition from four other contractors, NCC Construction Denmark was commissioned to build the 27,500-square-meter prison. Construction will start immediately and NCC's part of the project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2005. The prison will be completed in its entirety in April 2006 and be deployed on August 1. Construction of the prison at Horsens has been under way since May 2003. Among other items, the surrounding six-meter-high and 1,500-meter-long wall is ready. The new prison will replace the Horsens National Prison.
