NCC has signed an agreement with the City of Turku to build the Suikkila school and a preschool in Turku. The assignment is a two-phase turnkey contract valued at approximately SEK 200 million.

NCC was awarded the contract in the autumn of 2021, and since then has been working on the design and the planning for the school. The construction contract has now been signed, and construction can commence.

The assignment includes the construction of an elementary school for grades 1–3, a preschool, a counseling center and premises for municipal activities. In addition, a sports hall and outdoor playing field will be constructed. Estimated completion is the autumn of 2024.

NCC is already constructing the Valkeavuori campus in the city of Kaarina just outside Turku, and the Runosmäki multi-function center for the City of Turku and Kaarina parish.

The order value is approximately SEK 200 million, and will be registered among orders in the third quarter of 2022 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
